The joy of food isn’t just in the eating, it’s in the fantasising. We spend our lives dreaming about food; imagining the aroma, the feeling, the taste... So for Just Eat's global rebrand, we wanted to transport people out of the everyday and into the wonderful world of the imagination. Welcome to the world of gut decisions, where everything can change in the flick of a screen. A variable typeface follows the swings and turns in the imagination when it comes to choosing what to eat, and features playful weights such as Light Bite, Semi Sure, Bold Choice or Extra Full. We paired Just Eat's recognizable orange with a purple to create a modern and vibrant aesthetic. Food photography looks glamorous and mouth watering but behaves in magical ways — defeating natural laws, inverting expectations and teasing the public into the new, fantastical brand world.
